Spaces within spaces

Spaces within spaces

We worked with M&S to develop their store design concept for the Lingerie department at the Oxford Street Pantheon Store, part of the retailer’s ‘test and learn’ format to develop future blueprint for M&S stores. We created a new fixture system, with curved forms referencing body curvature. A materials palette of textured plaster and warm neutral tones creates a ‘soft luxury’ feel. The Lingerie department encompasses a range of sub-departments. Set within the defined architectural fabric, sculpted ‘spaces within spaces’ create subtle shifts between sub-departments, each with its own identity. The system is flexible and modular, allowing for creative storytelling and seasonal pop-ups.

We subsequently developed the concept for other areas within the store. Connecting with Marks & Spencer’s refreshed brand direction, our work is about creating spaces that support enjoyable discovery while expressing a contemporary vision for a British retail institution.
