We have continued our creative relationship with world-renowned shoe care brand Jason Markk by designing their third flagship store. Their first-ever in Asia, the opening of the space represents an exciting new chapter in the brand’s history. It follows our previous collaboration for their European venture on London’s Carnaby Street.

Located in the vibrant Harajuku district of Tokyo, the latest store sits at the heart of Japanese youth culture. A reflection both of Japan and Jason Markk’s Los Angelean roots, the cohesive design presents an innovative and inviting environment.

From the stainless steel branding laid subtly into the facade of the building to the simple, even lighting inside, the intention was to keep things functional yet beautiful. There are mirrored ceilings to expand the space and locally sourced timber shelving to give a sense of warmth, while metal is used in the sneaker cleaning area to celebrate the care and precision of the process.
