Reconfiguring a traditional Town House
Reconfiguring a traditional Town House
We worked with artist Dinos Chapman and knitwear designer Tiphaine de Lussy to convert a large five-storey Victorian house in London's East End. Previously used as a commercial space, the building presented a disjointed, problematic layout.
We completely reconfigured the property to maximise light and space and create visual links to connect the house as a whole. Eight years later, as the family grew up and new needs became apparent, we were asked to revisit the project and further enhance the possibilities of the house. A second residential project followed when the clients commissioned us to transform a disused concrete reservoir in Kent.
