We worked with Jo Malone London to design an immersive new store concept in Tokyo that amplifies the more eccentric, experimental facets of the brand.
The concept is tactile in its approach, devised to ignite the senses throughout the space, adding new dimensions to the existing Jo Malone design language. The incorporation of textured materials such as terracotta, lime render, oak, and concrete, along with key moments like a bubbling fountain and reclaimed birdbaths for fragrance testing, created a rich sensory experience.
These experiential elements encourage customers to engage with the scents in an immersive way.
A large, modular area with a digital display and adaptable drapes was introduced to enliven the front of the store and create a dedicated space for storytelling. This flexible zone facilitates events, workshops, and installations, fostering a deeper connection between the brand and customer.
