David Linley has been designing and making bespoke furniture of the highest quality since 1985. We were appointed to design the interior for the showroom at Linley’s Belgravia headquarters, to be as much a venue and creative hub as a retail space. The aim was to create a gallery-style interior that would display the warm, textured and rich furniture at its best.

We mixed black metalwork with a neutral palette of concrete and painted surfaces. The elegant geometric structure of the metalwork is repeated throughout the design. Part of the brief was to convey the Linley heritage, so we introduced a ‘lab' space for both customers and staff to explore David Linley’s inspirational material and early work. The design also includes a library, where customers can come and browse an outstanding collection of books covering art, photography, architecture, food and fashion. Downstairs a wood-panelled club room can be booked for wine and whisky tastings, backgammon, chess and poker nights, and supper clubs.
